Mark your calendar for the May 4th collaborative exhibition opening at Michigan Artists Gallery & Higher Art Gallery: “Art in the Peaceable Kingdom." Two galleries with 60+ artists will Interpret Edward Hicks’ 1833 painting, “The Peaceable Kingdom." The artworks will include  2D and 3D mixed-media interpretations of this painting with its timely message.

Iowa Lakeside Lab Artists-in-Residence Alumni Exhibition

I am honored to be participating in a group exhibition of former artists-in-residence from Iowa Lakeside Lab, a biological field station, nature preserve and educational center. As a former artist-in-residence, I will be exhibiting a piece called, “Centric Diatom Collection." It is based on my research of living diatoms including photomicroscopy.

CLOSING RECEPTION: Sunday, March 25, 2018, 3 pm
GALLERY HOURS: Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, 1-4 pm

Comstock Wabi-Sabi Closing Reception

I invite you to attend the closing reception for my Comstock Wabi-Sabi solo exhibition at Red Mountain Gallery in Reno, NV. Although I am unable to attend the reception personally, I will be well-represented by my artwork. All work is for sale, so take the opportunity to add one of these historically-inspired Comstock artworks to your collection.

Hand in Hand Opening Reception

If you are in Northwest Michigan this Saturday, I invite you out to attend the opening reception of a very cool new exhibition curated by Sheila Ruen. Artists from all over the country were invited to participate. I will be displaying a graphic music score called “Nebula."  It is an enlarged giclee print on watercolor paper. This score recently received its world-premiere performance by the Aurora Orchestra in London, England.

Comstock Wabi-Sabi Solo Exhibition

I am very excited to announce a new solo exhibition of my Comstock Wabi-Sabi series of assemblages at Red Mountain Gallery on the campus of Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV. The exhibition is part of a unique program initiated by Sierra Arts Foundation in Reno, NV called Galleries at Work.

The Red Mountain Gallery is located on the third floor of the Red Mountain Building adjacent to Admissions and RDMT 315. Open to the public during regular school hours.

CLOSING RECEPTION: Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 5–7 p.m.

Practice, Rhythm and Ritual: Meditative Minimalism

Come out and see my brand new work created for this exhibition.

Practice, Rhythm, and Ritual: Meditative Minimalism will explore relationships between studio practices and rituals, mindfulness, and materials. Four Michigan artists will exhibit works in a variety of media and forms. Lydia Boda will create mixed media installations, based on sets of rules that connect materials and techniques; Nathan Lareau will explore the visual and aural phenomena of sound and rhythm through sculpture and video; Brian Schorn will exhibit a series of mixed media reliefs and objects that embody his meditative practice; and Deanna Hergt-Wilmott will exhibit a series of profoundly balanced porcelain vessels with her unique style of minimalist, painterly glazes.

A third solo exhibition with this program will open at a new Reno business shortly after this closing reception.
